I want to backup the preferences that Sharepoints affects.  Which files do I need to backup in order to restore my sharepoints?

SharePoints stores information in a few places.

For versions of Mac OS X up to 10.2.8, everything is stored in the NetInfo database and the smb.conf file.  The NetInfo database can be backed up using the NetInfo Manager application.  The smb.conf file is a plain text file that resides in the /etc/ directory.

For Mac OS X 10.3.x, you need the NetInfo database, the smb.conf file and the AppleFileServer.plist file.  The NetInfo and smb.conf files are in the same place as previous versions of the OS.  The AppleFileServer.plist file is in the /Library/Preferences folder.
